Tap the "Join the TestFlight beta" button on the home page. You'll need the TestFlight app installed on your iPhone — it's free from the App Store. Once accepted, Petite Notes appears in your TestFlight app and you can install it like any other beta.
The current beta is free. When we launch on the App Store, there will be a free tier and a small paid tier (probably around $2.99/yr) for extra features. We'll be transparent about the split before launch.
Only if you send it. Notes you compose and tap "send" on are uploaded to our servers so they can be delivered (to yourself or to your recipients). Everything else — drafts, settings, crash logs — stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
Yes. Open the Recipients screen in Settings to add an email address. Once added, every note you send can optionally go to those recipients as well as to your inbox.
The app uses Sign in with Apple, which means we never see (or store) your Apple ID password. We get either your real email or a private relay address — your call on the Apple sign-in sheet.
It's a small, old-fashioned mark for "send a thought away." We liked it more than a literal notebook icon — the app isn't really a notebook, it's a way to send yourself small things to be found later.
